Built by clinicians.
For better access.

ViaPsych was founded by licensed psychologists and a Registered Social Worker who recognized a persistent gap between the demand for psychological services and the ability of individuals to find and access a clinician in a timely way.

Our mission

Access to a psychologist, for everyone who needs it

ViaPsych exists because finding a psychologist in Canada is harder than it should be. Wait times in the public system are often measured in months or years. Private practice can be difficult to navigate without insider knowledge. And the gap between demand and access often falls hardest on those with more complex presentations.

Our mission is to make access to psychological services faster, more transparent, and more equitable across Ontario. We do this by connecting individuals directly with licensed psychologists based on their preferences, through a simple, streamlined coordination process.

We are not a clinical practice. We are a matching and coordination platform. Every psychologist in our network is independent, licensed, and accountable to their own regulatory college. Our role is to reduce the friction between people seeking services and the professionals who provide them.

Access to a psychologist should not require knowing the system, waiting years, or giving up. The demand is real. The capacity exists. We built ViaPsych to connect the two.

What we stand for

Our values

The principles that guide every decision we make about how ViaPsych operates.

01

Access without barriers

Finding a psychologist should not require a referral, a long wait, or the right connections. Our goal is to remove every unnecessary barrier between individuals and the services they need.

02

Quality of care

Every psychologist in our network is independently licensed and accountable to their provincial regulatory college. We work with licensed professionals in good standing who meet regulatory requirements and our platform criteria.

03

Integrity and transparency

Clear communication, honest positioning, and no hidden obligations. Our fee structure is disclosed upfront, our role is clearly defined, and we represent what we do accurately to clients and clinicians alike.

04

Neurodiversity-affirming

Our founders bring clinical experience and a strong commitment to neurodiversity-affirming practice. ViaPsych is grounded in strengths-based, affirming approaches, and we welcome clinicians who work within these frameworks.

05

Clinical autonomy

Psychologists in our network are independent professionals. ViaPsych never directs clinical decisions, influences diagnoses, or interferes with the relationship between a clinician and their client.

06

Continuous improvement

We seek feedback from clients and clinicians and use it to improve our matching process, our platform, and the standards we hold ourselves to. Getting better at what we do is never finished.

Our approach

Clinician-led. Ethically grounded. Built to scale.

ViaPsych was designed by clinicians who understand both sides of the access problem. Dr. Rose and Dr. Porthukaran have spent their careers conducting assessments and working directly with individuals navigating the psychological services system in Ontario.

The platform is built around three commitments: clinician independence, client transparency, and ethical coordination. These principles shape how ViaPsych operates, from the language we use to describe services to the way we support clear, informed connections.

ViaPsych is not a therapy platform, a telehealth product, or a marketplace. It is a coordination service built to make one specific thing easier: connecting individuals with licensed psychologists, more efficiently than the current system allows.
